Questions for... Ale Rausa
Ale is the CEO and the most senior MB member at beem. He knows the company like the back of his hand. Here are six questions to let you get to know him.
What did you do before joining beem?
I was the co-founder of TWINT, Switzerland’s digital wallet, where up until a year ago I was a member of the management board and the Chief Product Officer (CPO).
What is your role at beem?
I lead the company and am responsible for its vision and strategy. I also spend time thinking about what beem will be like tomorrow, and therefore live in the future a little bit. In my role, I also create general conditions and scope for development in order to help all employees perform to their best ability.
What do you like most about beem?
A lot of things. For example, that beem’s services extend well beyond advertising. I’m certain we’ll develop many more features that we haven’t even thought of yet. Aside from that, beem is easy to export, which hopefully means that it will be used outside of Switzerland in the future.
Which company would you like to start a campaign with?
It’s not really about a specific company or brand for me; it’s more about the philosophy behind it. I like working with people who are interested in being creative and trying things out.
What feature would you like to see at beem?
It would be great if it were possible to spontaneously react to a concert ad with beem. Reserve tickets with just one click, organise a babysitter for the kids, invite friends… and once all that’s sorted, confirm the purchase – all done nice and simply with beem.
What have you found particularly fascinating in the digital world of late?
When displaying the battery usage per app on my phone, YouTube currently sits on top. No doubt because I’ve been livestreaming the Donald Trump impeachment trial.
